Friendship is a state of mutual understanding between two people, a group of people, a community or nations. Having the right set of friends is desirable as it reflects who you are. It’s a common say, ‘show me your friends and I will tell you who you are. In this guise, friends needs to be chosen carefully. Your friends are people you can confide in, people that you are comfortable being with and people that you will eventually end up thinking like or acting like.
So in the choice of friends, be careful as it’s just a matter of time before you will look exactly like your friends.
In choosing your friends, there are some criteria to consider such as; reliability, confidentiality, spirituality, compatibility and a host of others.
Here are some questions you should ask when choosing your friends.
Do they share the same dream and vision with me?
Will I get wise counsel from them?
Will being close to them help me to achieve my goals more quickly and easily?
Can I confide in them?
Will they be there for me and will I be there for them in times of need?
If you can answer these questions in the affirmative then you can give that friendship a chance but if not you might want to reconsider because bad company corrupts good manners.
